GOOD COMPANY STARTS WITH RESPECT
Meet safely.
Look out for each other.
People, not sales pitches
This is an adults-only (18+) board for travellers and local residents meeting socially. No paid companionship, tour sales, shopping commissions, recruitment, gambling, harassment or impersonation. Tell people whether you are a visitor or a local. Use only invitations and photos you have the right to share.
Keep first meetings public
Choose a busy café, park entrance or other public place. Arrange your own transport and tell someone you trust your plan. Don’t post your hotel, home address, precise live location, passport or payment details.
Pay your own way
Joining is free. Budget figures are members’ estimates of their own food, tickets or transport costs, not a quote or payment to China Day Out. Do not transfer deposits to a stranger to secure a place. Pay the business directly for your own purchases.
Know who you’re meeting
Email verification only confirms access to an email address. It is not an identity, background or safety check. Members organise their own meetings; we do not guarantee attendance or endorse hosts as guides.
Plans change — communicate
Withdraw or cancel through the meetup page if you can’t attend. Be clear and respectful. Don’t pressure anyone to share contact details, drink, spend money or go somewhere they don’t want to go.
Report and block
Signed-in members can report an invitation or participant on the meetup page. Blocking stops new connections between those accounts and ends your shared active meetup participation: if you are the host the blocked member is removed; otherwise you withdraw. Blocking does not delete messages already seen by others. Manage blocked members in My plans.
Reports go to our moderation queue. AI is not a substitute for emergency help and we do not provide live emergency monitoring. For urgent danger, contact local emergency services or staff nearby. For platform problems, email support@chinadayout.com.
